Guest Shoot16mm
I have an Auricon Pro 600 and I'm going to go play with as a silent camera (no magnetic stripe film available anymore)... I have 400' & 600' "ears" for the camera... My question is this.... I only have one 16mm core adaptor on the take up side of the 600' magazine. On the front side is the standard post with the square sides so you can put a 100' or 200' daylight reel on it. Is that core adaptor removable so I can put it on the front side of the magazine & put on a 400' load. If so, I can't figure out how to remove it. In the center of both posts, there is a removable "cotter pin" that fits down into the center of each post and clicks in a hole at the base of the post. Don't know if that has anything to do with it... Finally... do you know where I can get a few core adaptors for these magazines? They seat down on the usual square to round post that a 100 or 200 daylight load would seat to. Thanks!
Marty Hamrick
Now you're going back a ways so what I tell you may not be accurate. It's been at least 10 years since I played with an Auricon. Most of time we used Mitchell magazines anyway.Yet I think that carter pin comes out,the core adaptor lifts out and it leaves you with a square post for the daylight reels. As for core adaptors, keep checking ebay.I see Auricons and magazines there all the time. Marty
