Macro straightscope system for Canon H1 and other DV/HDV cameras

A while ago I developed a macro straightscope system for getting deep focus macro shots in my work as a wildlife tv cameraman. Originally it was used on a Canon XL1S camera, then a Sony FX1, and most recently a Canon H1.

The system has been used on BBC tv nature programmes in the UK, and during the past couple of weeks to shoot parasites for a SKY digital series, Human Safari.

The deep focus ability is great for macro shooting, but it probably has applications in other fields of video production too. I've just constructed a duplicate system for The Learning Lighthouse in the UK, an educational establishment teaching video skills to kids, and it got me thinking that other filmmakers might have an interest in the straightscope as well.

You can view frame captures from footage shot on the straightscope at http://www.visual-innovations.zoomshare.com/0.html
