Bobby Shore
Hi, I'm about to shoot a feature on the HDX 900, and I've been opretty hard pressed to find some decent literature on the camera since it's so new. Does anyone know if it has the same film Rec mode that the Varicam does? I know the HDX is alot like the varicam, minus the variable frame rates. If you know the answer to this, or can point me in the direction of a website that has more info on the camera, let me know. Thanks. Mitch Gross
The HDX900 does not have FILM REC, but it does have some of the other gamma controls that the Varicam has.

From what I understand, there are three cinegamma settings on the HDX where there are 2 filmlook settings on the SDX. Like the SDX, you can go into the menu system and create the look you want by tweeking different elements. AJB
