recently i visited sony's business site :

i am wondering why sony call cameras like HVR A1E and pd170p, a proffesional camera while there is no HDR FX1E in this list .i am wondering why . whats the defination of pro camcorders that way.i read here ppl using FX1E for all kind of purpose and i heard lots of great things about camcorder

 

also can somebody tell me where i can download a manual of FX1E online.

The main difference between professional (HVR-A1E, PD170) and consumer (HDR-FX1E) is that the professional have features which are of no use when shooting home video - like the microphone XLR connectors, DVCAM format support, timecode settings - and these features rise the price of the professional equipment beside of the fact that in the price there is calculated also cost of support.

And since the FX1 is a consumer camcorder the User Manual can be downloaded at http://support.sony-europe.com/ - select User Manuals from top menu and enter model number HDR-FX1E
