Paul Sifakis
Hi there. I'd like to ask you, if there is a steadicam for miniDV cameras, and how much it costs. Is there a chance to order one from the internet? Thanks...
Thanasis Diamantopoulos
Hi Try in glidecam and on ebay. New it cost a few bucks. I am not sure how they work. I had used one with my dvx 100 and was good not perfect but good . Its easy to use it . But works only with wide lenses and needs steady hand. Premium Member Brad Grimmett Posted October 22, 2006 Premium Member Share Posted October 22, 2006 The Steadicam Flyer would be your best bet. http://www.steadicam.com/videoFlyer.html You're going to pay more for it than for other systems, but you get what you pay for. It's basically a professional rig built for prosumer cameras.
Albert Smith
the steadicam flyer is your best bet for sure. Dont jump into it though I would go somewhere and test it out and see what its really like. Learning to use a steadicam takes some time for sure, I have only given it a go once and went in very arrogant "how hard could it be HA, I can do this" and then I tried haha...I wont say much other then we decided we werent going to be able to shoot the film steadicam pretty fast.
