Underwater Housing for Hvx200

I am looking for an underwater housing for the Hvx200. I am shooting an underwater scene for a feature in Nashville, TN and need the housing over a weekend in about 2 weeks. We are on a really tight budget and although Gates makes and rents them I am trying to find someone who will cut me a bit of a deal. This is our final shoot on a production that has run over a year do to budget issues and we are desperate.

Hi,

 

What sort of depths are you looking at working in?

 

If your working at depths of less than 10m you could look into using the soft housings from Ewa Marine.

They make a housing for the HVX200 (the VP2).

 

I have used their housing for the DVX100a and they are pretty good. It is a cheaper option to allow you get the camera submerged.

I am looking into that as well... it might work. I found somebody on this sight that has one so I am contacting him about it.
