Canadian educational possibilities.

Recommended Posts

I'm a 2nd year student of photography (traditional and digital), and am interested in becoming well educated on camera work (film and digital), lighting (for film and DV) and linear/non-linear editing.. but really don't have the care to work as a director, writer, actor etc..

Are there any specific film schools in Canada that hone in on these specific subjects? Or is it just par for the course to get your hands dirty in all aspects of film making before specializing?

Thanks Richard, I'll do some research on Ryerson's 'School of Image Arts' and see if I can find some firsthand feedback on it. I'd definitely be looking for something that heavily deals with production, and more importantly specifically geared towards camera work & lighting.

Does anyone have feedback on 'The Production Institute'? They have a program titled 'cinematography'.

Also looking for feedback on these schools:

Concordia's School of Cinema, Film Production program. (Montreal)

Vancouver Film School (4 years packed into 1 is their selling point?)
