What FPS to use for a cinema screen?

Hello all...

 

We are going to shoot some old footage in a movie theater right out of the screen.

We can call it a "poor telecine".... The film footage is at 24fps and we are going to use a Sony HDW F-900 for this.

What is the recomended fps setting for such a case? It is the obvious 24fps or do you think that the 50i will be better giving better motion in the picture?

The footage is going to be downscaled and stored in a computer for future reference.
