Guest Christopher Wedding
A few of you suggested having both a 6x6 and a 4x5 mattebox when ordering an F900 package. Here's the previous thread: http://www.cinematography.com/forum2004/in...&hl=package I'm currently placing an order for a panavised F900 and I'm wondering what the benefit of the 6x6 is. Is it for the wide lenses? Thanks for the clarification. Chris
Logan Schneider
I'm ACing on a film with the Panavised F900 right now, and it helps a lot to have the 4x5 and 6x6 matteboxes. We use the 4x5 all the time inside, but often have the 6x6 on all day when outside. Grads seem to be important for capturing as much detail as possible, but the 4x5 makes life so much easier. Guest Christopher Wedding
Thanks, Logan. I've got an all inside shoot, so hopefully I can get away with it! Cheers, Chris
Mitch Gross
It also depends on what lenses ou're using. On a big Optimo zoom only a 6x6 will cover.
