Cris Moris
Hello all, Off topic sort of question: I'm working on a short next week and there is an exterior shot where a car is smoking. Right now, we have a rosco spoke machine which will be from the inside of the vehicle and will have a hose the goes to the bottom of the car. Does anyone have any simpler suggestions? We dont have money for SFX guy and do not want to CGI it? Could use all the advice in the world. Cris
Guest dpforum1968
Isn't setting the car on fire the easiest and most logical option? DC
Mitch Gross
Did a shoot where we were afraid we'd see any hose or power cord feeding into the car so we put a small pan on water on top of the engine block and let it cook up past boiling point. The steam worked okay for our purposes but you need the right weather for it to look its best.
