Nicolas Eveilleau
Well it does really depend on numberous things. According to the American Cinematographer Manual, a 4k PAR HMI without any lens at 100ft give you 790 FC. So with 500t, you'll have a T-stop a little higher than 16 (17.7 to be precise) But here we have a HMI, and without lens, and it's something standard, it might change between different spot's brand. Premium Member Andrew Koch Posted March 20, 2008 Premium Member Share Posted March 20, 2008 Go to the website of the manufacturer of the light. Most lighting companies post the photometric data of all their lights on their websites. For Pars, they will tell you the footcandles for given distances with various lenses. I know that Mole and Arri do this. http://extranet.mole.com/store/images/backpage/6641-L.gif http://www.arri.com/entry/products.htm
