Matt Newcomb
I just want to practice using film, and this seems like one of the most cost effective ways to do so. I'd possibly be open to an 8mm version as well, or if anyone has a good working camera that would be good for a beginner.
Nate Downes
The Bell and Howell 70D "Filmo" series of cameras are just as good as the Bolex for learning in my experience with the advantage that you don't need special RX lenses for it. I own a 70DL and love it to death.

They come with lenses. http://cgi.ebay.com/UNUSED-NEW-MIB-B-H-70D...1QQcmdZViewItem

Since I'm in LA, I assume it'll be pretty easy to find someone who could get it in working order for me.

Plus I know that seller (having bought a few things from them before) and they're good at servicing you.
