Alan Brown
I'm not sure if I've managed to upload the film to this site but if you go on youtube and type 'breathless' and 'alan brown' into the search engine the first film I shot at film school will pop up for your examination (its about 4 mins). This was shot multi camera using both a Sony DSR300 and a Panasonic NVGS300. This film was a first year exercise at Bournemouth Arts Institute UK. I'd appreciate any comments. Thanks. Guest Nik Samal
cool. just wondered why you used 2 different cameras instead of 2 the same? is nice to see someone lighting interogation rooms with more realism for once, coz it does me head in sometimes when people light them really dark coz that's not how they look! haha. but in this i feel that it might have taken away from the tension and feel of the scene. i guess there needs to be a happy medium. i like the shooting up acc-montage too. very requiem for a dream
Alan Brown
It was meant to be shot one camera but because of problems during pre-production a two day shooting schedule had been reduced to just an afternoon, so I grabbed my own DV cam and shot reactions while the main actions were being filmed. I was wondering when someone would mention the Requiem For A Dream 'homage' (:
Guest Nik Samal
ah makes sense. haha requiem for a dream. i tried to do the same kind of thing in my first ever short video i made when i was 17. but with pills instead. i'll try find it.. ..i dunno how to add clicking links here, but but yeh that was my attempt. yours is obviously much better. i guess preparing and shooting smack also has a greater art to it than sticking some compressed daz in your mouth. maybe Edited April 29, 2008 by Nik Samal
