Ben Saunders
For an upcoming shoot I'm trying to get streaks of light coming through a keyhole. Does anybody have experience with something like this? I'm assuming that I'll need some fog or dry ice-any suggestions? We're shooting HD rather than film. Thanks! Premium Member Chris Keth Posted September 29, 2008 Premium Member Share Posted September 29, 2008 Just a tiny bit of fog in the air will show up when you light it. Hard lights will give the best beams, especially when they are backed off from the keyhole a bit.
Premium Member Walter Graff Posted September 29, 2008 Premium Member Share Posted September 29, 2008 Fog in a can will do what you need. Or hit Walmart around now as they sell smokers for real cheap for Halloween. A little smoker will do you real well. Lensed or open face, move the fixture as far from the keyhole as possible. Michael Collier
Try a source four. Best to start with a super hard light first, then back it off.
