Nick Centera
Hey, at my school we are getting some new fluorescent banks for our green screen. We are using work lamp and not professional banks, I know it's not that good, but it is all we can get for our budget. I know that fluorescents give off a different color so I was wondering if there is a gel we can put on the banks to help with the color correction and give a better green color to the green screen. Thanks a lot.
Patrick Lavalley
Depending on the fixtures you may be able to buy the special chroma green tubes from Kino Flo. Other than that, I would imagine adding plus green might be the ticket?
Nick Centera
Can you put Kino Flo bulbs into a regular work light type bank?
Premium Member Chris Keth Posted October 1, 2008 Premium Member Share Posted October 1, 2008 Can you put Kino Flo bulbs into a regular work light type bank? Yup. They get put into practical overheads all the time.
Patrick Lavalley
From what I've seen, those green tubes do a really excellent job of lighting up a green screen.
Matthew Parnell
The supergreens are great, just be sure to cut spill onto the foreground off them.
Premium Member Chad Stockfleth Posted October 2, 2008 Premium Member Share Posted October 2, 2008 The supergreens are cool, but not necessary. You can get perfectly fine keys using tungsten balanced kino's. Too, you can use them for other applications.
