James Mehr
I just watched the Orson Welles documentary "One Man Band", and I'm now interested in finding a portable 16mm editing machine like the one Orson Welles used. I've used a Steenbeck before, but what kind of portable or semi-portable options are there in terms on 16mm editing? Are there any places in NYC or online that sell them? Thanks! Saul Rodgar
http://cgi.ebay.com/KODAK-KODASCOPE-16MM-F...tem260294370379 It doesn't get more portable than this editing 16mm machine, except for a viewer (w/ rewinds) and a splicer. A far cry from a full A/B roll and sound editing Steenbeck or Moviola, which incidentally weigh close to 300 lbs.
James Mehr
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep my eye on it in ebay. Does anyone know of any other portable options as good or better than the Kodascope?
