Jon Beattie
I don't post here much. I am usually over with my fellow steadicam ops at our little corner of the forum world. But I wanted to let you guys know about the wonderful tool I have added to my Steadicam package and have been working with. I've had the Handsfree Transporter with hard mount since the beginning of the Summer. Its a fantastic tool that allows a steadicam or handheld camera to be operated on a segway. I can travel at speeds up to 15mph. Can take it from pavement to off road environments with ease. It works fantastically for running shots, roundy rounds, slow creeping shots. It can be used in place of process vehicles, ATVs and other vehicle setups. It can be set up in a minute and does not require production to wait or higher extra labor to build and setup some shots. It doesn't replace anything. Its just another tool that can be used in production to capture dynamic shots. It also allows to to operate for hours while maintaining a consistent quality due to lack of fatigue. Check it out.
