Vincent LAM Posted March 10, 2009 Share Posted March 10, 2009 beside the changeable lens and the outlook, what are the differences of EX 3 and EX 1? by the way, may i ask if the SDI output of EX1 is only for HD monitor? i got a JVC CRT monitor which can not display image even i down convert the signal to standard definition.....is EX3 got the same problems?? really much thx vincent Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The EX3 has more switches and buttons, TC in/out, genlock in, studio remote option, form factor, lenses, better viewfinder. The SDI out in SD mode maps 60/30/24p to NTSC and 50/25p to PAL which could trip you up on older monitors. You do have to set to SD in the Video Set menu for SDI Out too, if you haven't done that.
