Are Triolet lights for every continents ?

I'll be starting soon a documentary project all over the US, Canada, Brazil, Europe and Russia. I was thinking of buying 2 triolets with softboxes. The problem is Chimera manufactures these lights for separate voltage. They have one for 220-230v and one for 120v.

 

Does anyone know if I can use the same lights all over these countries, just by changing the bulbs and adding a proper plug adapter ?

 

I asked Chimera but no answer, then I asked B&H and they told me I can't, but something inside me tells me it's impossible not to do it... If I normally do it with any Fresnel/open face light, why would these particular lights be so different ?
