Anyone know of some affordable ways to go about this? Thanks! Well, it depends what squeeze ratio you are talking about. John Brawley used this system to unsqueeze the image he shot on a SI2k and a Panasonic front-of-lens 1.33x anamorphic adapter: "It's only a 1.3x so plug in 16x9 monitor. Force menu to display 16x9 AS WELL." Here is the link with pictures: http://www.cinematography.com/index.php?showtopic=37223
Premium Member Bruce Taylor Posted April 17, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted April 17, 2009 Hey Hunter, I switch my monitor to 16x9 and the image is unsqueezed close enough to have a pretty good idea of what's going on. Nick G Smith
Transvideo Rainbow 2 and Cinemonitor 3 have an Anamorphic setting. I use them when I don't have a de-squeezer in the viewfinder/Video assist path. You can also use with Full and Underscan modes. Nick
