justinmaynard
So, I have this producer that hired me to light something like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrT90EgrnTc seems pretty simple, I think I could pull that off in front of a black cyc, but the studio has a white cyc, and does not want to repaint it to black. Any suggestions on how to light this? Do I just light it simply with one light and try to flag all of the spill off of the background? Thanks. Ross Neugeboren
It might be easier to shoot your talent infront of a wide matte black seamless (It's about 190 bucks for a 140'x35yd roll) . Doesn't require any paint or an abundance of flags. Edited September 26, 2009 by Ross Neugeboren
Premium Member Chad Stockfleth Posted September 26, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted September 26, 2009 Or you could go to a fabric store and try to buy a big roll of black and roll it down like a mini cyc. Keep your spill controlled and you'll be in the ballpark.
Premium Member Chris Keth Posted September 27, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted September 27, 2009 Could also rent a 12x or two of duve and goalpost them. Cover the stands with scrap duve.
