Tim Halloran
I recieved three Switar prime lenses (10/25/75mm) with a Bolex H16 I just purchased. I planned to send the camera body to get checked out and cleaned up, but is it common practice to get newly acquired used lenses checked-out and "serviced" as well? I know nothing of their background, how they were treated, etc. They all look fantastic, cosmetically--all have clean glass and barrels and all seem to focus fine. The 10mm rings are a bit stiff, however. I had originally planned to just shoot some stuff and see how it came out, but if it is common to do some regular scheduled maintenance on these lenses, I might as well get it done now. If it is common practice, what does it involve? Is it generally expensive? Tim
