Kenny Ji
Hello. I have an old bolex h16 which has a bottom screw mount for tripods that is larger in diameter than the average modern camera screw mount. Does anyone have a good idea to solve this connection problem? Thank you
Chris Millar
An 'insert' is what you're after - 3/8" to what ever that smaller size is - dang imperial, could be 45pi/93rds for all I know :D
Ian Cooper
An 'insert' is what you're after - 3/8" to what ever that smaller size is - dang imperial, could be 45pi/93rds for all I know :D "Standard" tripod thread for 'small' cameras is 1/4" Whitworth. (so 20tpi) "Standard" tripod thread for larger cameras is 3/8" Whitworth. (so 16tpi) It is possible to get a screw in adapter bush, but personally I don't find these as secure as using the proper size fastening to start with.
