vasko bojadziski
hi, i have an old bolex B8 camera that uses double 8 film and since it came with no manual i have no idea how to set up the built in lightmeter. im using B&W Foma asa 100 film. I have been using still cameras and i really am confused with this one. here is a photo of it, so if any of you have the same camera, please help as I dont want to ruin the 2 rolls of film that I have. they are so difficult to get here in Macedonia,I have to import them from Germany. Thanks, Vasko

vasko bojadziski
Try here: http://www.intervalometers.com/pdfs/2003-bolexb8.pdf Or, if you have the Bolex D8L, try: http://www.intervalometers.com/pdfs/2003-bolexd8l.pdf <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thank you Fortean, this was surely of great help, it seems I have something between the B8 and D8L, since my camera has not have the 3 lens turret and the index number calculator on the side of the camera. I bought the camera with missing front plate, where i suppose is the calculation table and the type of camera. I found some photos of the cameras on the net but the quality is too bad so I can not read the table, therefore i can not make the calculation of the index number to use with the light meter. So, once again I will have to ask for help, a usable scan of the index number calculator would I think help. I guess it does the same job as the calculator seen on the B8L model that works by turning a dial for the film speed. Also, i see the film speed used back then is ASA 10 and similar, the one I have from Foma is ASA 100. How does that work for calculating? Im using the only lens I have 12.5. I guess once i determine the index, I will not be changing it since I think I will be using ASA 100 film only. Thanks again Vasko
