I tried it once with 100ft roll and everything seemed to work well (but don't know if 100%). Now I'm preparing to shoot a project for my friend, but before I'd like to have my arri checked, relubed, cleaned up,.. and set back to original factory spec. does anybody know where I can find somebody for this work in western europe? Bernie O'Doherty is at Super 16 Inc, and he is in New York State. Granted, you'd have to ship overseas, I know, but his prices are excellent, maybe so much that his servicing costs and the extra shipping will compare favorably with more expensive places. He's very transparent about what the camera needs and he won't tack excessive hours / parts onto your bill. He's a gent, and one of the world's great veteran camera techs. And he works on EVERYTHING. Website: http://www.super16inc.com/ Also, he's from Ireland and has worked pretty extensively in the UK, so he might be able to tell you where to look closer to home if that is really important to you. He checked over my Arri 16S/B camera a few months back and he is based in London. I found him to be extremely friendly and most helpful. I believe too that http://www.filmcamerakit.com , also in London, can arrange servicing of the Arri 16S too, with an experienced engineer they use. I hope that this information is helpful.
