Career Speech Interview

I'm doing a speech on a career of my choice(cinematography) for my high school speech class. One of the requirments is that i ask a person of that field a few questions:

 

What does a cinematographer do?

 

 

 

What are your likes/dislikes of the job?

 

 

 

What are some courses/schools you would suggest to an aspiring cinematographer?

The only thing that I don't like is that at times the hours can get to you. Personally I do okay, I have always been able to function on very little sleep . . . but nonetheless, it can be hard at times.

 

 

:::What are some courses/schools you would suggest to an aspiring cinematographer?:::

 

Photography classes, art history classes, English classes, of course cinema classes (production and history), and real world experience. Go out and work on some ones project for free, or try creating your own. The experience is invaluable.
