Dylan Conrad
So, there's a great one page article in September's Film and Digital Times about the ARRI Master Anamorphics. This is in the article: "When you have an odd number of blades, the light rays are doubled. So a 15-bladed iris gives us 30 light rays. A 14-bladed iris will only give us 14 light rays." I don't understand the what "light rays" are quantified as. And I don't understand the principal of odd versus even number of iris blades. I'm curious, can anyone elaborate on this?
