Stephen Selby
Shoot on a real train on a cloudy day. Or if on set use two large diffusion screens one at 7'oclock for key and another at 5 o'clock for fill
joshua gallegos
Wow, that would seem pretty tough to recreate in a studio, will there be any detail seen outside the windows? I think it would look odd if there wasn't any detail outside the windows or is green screen involved? I wouldn't know how to light it, but I'm curious to see how someone would light such a scene in a studio. I think a top soft source would work, because it seems the scene is predominantly lit by indirect daylight source. the interior seems pretty dark and most of the light on the actor's faces seems to be bounced. Christopher M Schmidt
This was shot with HMI lighting outside of the train windows. Its a fully controlled set with large generators. most likely the sources where put through some diffusion as well.
