Bertels Amaury
Hello all,I don’t if i am in the correct place to ask my question, sorry if it’s not correct. So i’m studying cinematography in Belgium and for a movie i really need the exact size (height and width and “thickness”) between the motor(where the tripod is fixing)and the top of the “magasin” (just behind the handle).Between the two arrows: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/690/coutant.jpg/ Because i want the fix it this head but i don’t know if it is big enough: http://www.google.be/imgres?imgurl=http://www.digiscoped.com/2005/manfrotto393-a.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.digiscoped.com/manfrotto701rc2.html&h=600&w=800&sz=79&tbnid=wsghSZr-QCw4UM:&tbnh=98&tbnw=130&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dmanfrotto%2B393%26tbm%3Disch%26tbo%3Du&zoom=1&q=manfrotto+393&usg=__l2WF3rAlu19vUVDmV8czcKbqp_E=&docid=KHDz2w4kIsD2TM&sa=X&ei=K-lKUaXmAoHO0QXLvIDYDw&ved=0CEIQ9QEwAA&dur=452 Thanks for your answering, Amaury
Boris Belay
Hello Amaury, I don't have the exact mesurements at hand right now, but the NPR/Coutant is quite a beast, especially with that motor (there is a later Aaton-built motor that is quite a bit shorter). Off the top of my head, I vould say the camera is at least 50 cm tall, maybe 60. The next issue is weather that tripod system would hold the weight of the camera properly... By the way, I'm in Brussels and I repair Eclair cameras, so don't hesitate to let me know if you'd like to drop in for a chat. Best, Boris
