Hi Everyone,

 

I've been working on developing my skills as a cinematographer for some time now and wanted to get some feedback on the demo reel that I've put together. Right now, most of my work has been on zero budget short films and branded content projects. Would love some feedback what I have so far!

Hey Chris. Very nice work for zero-budget projects! Visually, I have no real critique as you have a really nice mix of shooting styles in there.

 

I would, however, change the music to something more atmospheric. I always watch reels with the sound off, initially, so as not to bias myself against the imagery (since that's what you're selling.) But I'm sure most people watch it with the sound on and the music you have just goes against the grain of the imagery for me.

Yeah - I've been back and forth on the music for this. Your thought about watching it with no sound is good one. I need some time to un-bias myself and really think about what music the imagery is "asking" for.
