Mathew Collins
Hi, Is the calculation given in the following link correct? https://www.abelcine.com/articles/blog-and-knowledge/tech-news/red-weapon-8k-lens-options Red dragon sensor - 3776x3160 Red Helium 8K - 4400x3600 The effective pixels of Helium sensor is 8192 × 4320. Not able to understand 4400x3600. I think for anamorphic it should be 5162x4320. Please share your inputs. -Mathew Collins
Sean Emer
It's been a few months but last time I did anamorphic on helium I believe you still had to set it down to 6k or so. Using the full height of the helium sensor for a 4:3 record would exceed most anamorphic image circles and waste data.
Mathew Collins
It's been a few months but last time I did anamorphic on helium I believe you still had to set it down to 6k or so. Using the full height of the helium sensor for a 4:3 record would exceed most anamorphic image circles and waste data. Really sorry for the late replay. Is that the reason, Red Helium 8K in anamorphic is 4400x3600 pixels, instead of 5184x4320?
