Guest Michael Carter
Perhaps the local camera repair shop would make me a winder that fits into a 50 ft. core. However, it would be easier to buy one from the old days. Anyone have one?
Steven Budden
There was a post on this a while ago. It had instructions for loading the mags. Steven
Guest Michael Carter
Yea, that was me. "Use what you got" but don't stop working. A Phillips head screwdriver works on the cores. The shaft holding the core must be shorter than the one in a film magazine. Many things fit. A series 6 lens filter case, the bottom, fits a full 50 ft core of film exactly; use it for loading so you stop at exactly 50 feet. A magazine for 400 foot core film makes a good film feed for winding the little cores in a bag. Wrap each new core in black paper. "I'm getting closer to my goal," tra la la. Robert Hughes
Seems to me there was a recent thread concerning 16mm magazines at: www.filmshooting.com Look there.
