I live in Texas and let me tell yah, people out here aren't ready to drop money on films. Best bet is get a fiscal sponsorship through people like fractured atlas (www.fracturedatlas.org) or someone and try to get stuff donated. Plus if you just talk to people they give in pretty easy.
