Greeting's all! Just a quick question for you guys. So I went to Samy's Camera today in Orange County and was told they discontinued Kodak tri-x and plus-x in super8. They even showed me the computer screen and it clearly stated discontinued 01/02/2007. I haven't been able to find anything about it on Kodak's website or anything from a google search so I am guessing it was just Samy's discontinued it for sales in their stores. Just thought I would check with you good people to see if my guess is correct. Thanks. ;) Justin

So I bought a Beaulieu 4008 ZM 2 from eBay and it arrived today in the mail. One of the first things I noticed about the camera is that the handle is somewhat loose but I can't figure out where I tighten it down at. Can someone help me out please. Justin

Thanks Andrew! I agree now that the shot of the sky does slow things down a little bit. When I showed it to the class I got so many questions on it. Some even wanted to know what effects I used to make it look like film :P

Hello All! Backround: My teacher asigned us to do a short 3-4 min chase video that all the editing has to be done in the camera. After class I asked if I can do it on super8 since I had one roll of color reversal 100D and the requirements seemed to fit in with what one roll can do. He agreed. He did say I could add sounds, music, and titles in the begining and end if we wished just as long as it wasn't superimposed over the footage we shoot. This is my second roll of super8 I have ever shoot. My camera was limited on what it can do. It was a Bell & Howell 2123 XL I transfered it myself using a projector and my DVX100B. I know that's a terrible way to do a tranfer but this project to me was more for fun then anything else. Hope you like it. :) Old Nightmares

I tried doing the whole Walmart processing a few weeks ago and was told that they didn't process the film. They said they only process c-41 film. I then tried to explain how the process works and how they would have to send it out of there store and was promptly shut down and was told that they don't send out any film because they do it all there. Anyone know what to say to these people to get around this roadblock?

Hello Cinematography.com! I've been reading these boards for a while now and have decided it's time to post something. I still consider myself a newbie in the world of filmmaking.
