  1. Norris Film Products makes an intervalometer that mounts to an SRII.  It works wonderfully and I have used it many times on our camera.  It attaches to the operator's side of the camera body and uses the manual inching knob to advance the frames.  If your intervals are greater than a few seconds, you will also need the capping shutter that fits onto the camera rods to prevent light leaks around the mirror/shutter.  It is an easy bit of kit to use...it must be if I can figure it out ;)

Does anywhere in LA rent this? I can't find one through the 411-

    Thanks-

  2. Hi, we're shooting with an sdx900 for our portfolio project at school, and we want to use a specialty lens that is only made for PL mount cameras. Can we find an adapter for the sdx so we can use this and other 35mm primes? And does the mount compensate for the ccd area, or is that actual focal lenths differ when we use it with 35mm lens? Any help would be appreciated-

  3. I would go with a panasonic DVX 100 over a 16mm Bolex, it's image quality is the same if not better, and I know the Leica lenses are better than most of the lenses you could get with the Bolex. The DVX will probably work better for weight as well, and you could carry a whole hour verses two and a half minutes.

    Good luck-

  4. Does anyone know if the Arri SR3 has a single frame mode, for doing time-lapse shots? The slowest it goes is 5 fps, but I need to do a time-lapse shot ramping into 24 fps from about one frame every 10 seconds. I can't find anything describing a control like this on the sr3, but I'm hoping it exists. Thanks

  5. I'm putting together a camera package around the SR3 or the SR2, and was wondering if anyone knew how the Iris Control Unit works with these. I don't plan on using any other lens control systems than the ICU and the CLM lens motor, and I don't know if I can program the speed ramp into the camera, or if I have to adjust it manually and have the ICU follow it. Can the SR2 be changed smoothly through its speed range while running, or is the SR3 preferable in this respect? And can the shutter angle on the SR2 be changed? I know neither can be adjusted while running. I want to do positive and negative speed ramps, but I would like to use the SR2 because of the price if I can. Any help or experience would be appreciated.
