cheers,
richard
Richard, what do you mean by weighted ? Do you mean Differential Gimmicks ? I have those.

Hi
I just was helping a friend on the set, where he shot on F23 and pro35
and I loved the image.
I have never had any expirience with pro35 before. And want to use it for an upcoming project I'm going to shoot myself. It will be landscapes, and images of cities as well.
I wander what is Your expirience with PRO35?
Please share.
greetings
iga
Iga, I've used it quite a bit on commercials, lifestyle -people stuff. The best thing about it for people is the 35 DoF it gives you.
It does eat up some light, so you should calculate an effective ISO with it on the camera. And it softens the video a bit, which I like for people. I'm not sure if I would bother with it for a shoot of landscapes and cityscapes, because you will probably be using wide lenses
and shallow DoF is not something you're after. maybe.

Super 16 coverage is 25/30-100, so it covers s16 in the long end of its range.
Mk1 has 80mm front, mk2 has 87mm front.

Alain, That's my lens that is up on ebay -well not now - but it is still up for sale. I saw one go recently on ebay for 4100. If you're still looking - make an offer. thanks, Peter. sensor01@comcast.net

So, the BBC, because of they're chosen compression, would not be able to televise ...oh say....
one of the biggest money making, beautifully shot documentary shows...all originated Aaton XTR S16...
like... "March of the Penguins" ?

If you shoot outdoor don´t forget about Pola filter, you archieve more saturated colors (sky) and less reflections. Go to a very wide iris to get shallow deep fied. study your background colors with lot of primary colors.
Lav, I agree with David Mullen,ASC and Andres Victorero. But with all this talk of contrast, no one has mentioned negative fill - I would have on hand a good amount of black cloth and try to backlight with the sun as much as possible. Also, on S16, I would suggest a very lite stop and a longer prime lens / the prime, in my opinion will have a better "Bokeh" (out of focus quality) than a zoom. The 250 stock and a good colorist should get you the saturation - best of luck.

Asking for a little help here, I know I've done this before ...but,
When playing back the recorded audio track for the singer to lip to,
should I be using a time code slate ? and what should the source be for that time code ?
And I'm shooting with a red cam. Thanks for any suggestions.
Peter.
