Should I film a gray card and color bar card in the beginning of each roll for the telecine transfer to calibrate to middle gray? And if so do I film it with gels on the lights and filter on the cam or of?
Is it true that having a polarizer will make the colors more vibrant, and also does an ND filter help with that? What other Filters out there help to make more depth in the picture?
Thanks
so it's better to have a smaller lighting ratio (between key and fill) than a larger one because the darker parts will be grainier? Also its better to have the key aperature at the lowest possible for the ratio you want? (ex: key=5.6 fill 2.0/2.8)
Hey what are the ways to get the least film grain onto your negative? I've heard people say you just have a lower Aperature for your key like 2.0 or 1.4, but I'm not sure.
Theres a scene in fight club where Brad Pitt is in a bar and there is this bright green on his face. I've seen it in a lot of different movies and still haven't been a ble to find out what gel and type of light they used.
Please help
Thanks
