  1. Hello ,

i am about to buy a motor from opticalelectrohouse , the guy is very nice and helpfull .

    thanks

  2. I use the 52mm Cokin "A" series filter holder for my Nikon, very efficient, and changing filters is a breeze.

And although I realize it's still 35mm film, this topic probably belongs in a non-cinema forum.

it s for the Camflex CM3 , with Nikon mounts ...

    thanks anyway

  4. Hello ,

so i bought the CM3 few times ago , first i thought to upgrade the Nikons , but after i shot with , it became clear the need to have cine lenses ( i am not dop(yet) , exuse my ignorance )

now i am wondering if it s possible to have lomo lenses on the Arri B mount ?

    thanks

  5. Hello ,

finaly we shot it with the 500 T ( ayyyy ) , we arrived to the shooting and i was XXXXX confused ; i ve forgot to order the 250T .

so the DOP made this; pola + ND3+ND9 .

what do you think guys ? i wont see the images before tuesday . i am freaking , it was a video clip , i am producer and director on it , the singer left back .

  6. In that case, it would be a good idea to take your existing motor to a specialist repair shop. Have you looked at the brushes and commutator? Wait too long on brushes, and the commutator can be damaged beyond repair.

    hello ,

thanks for the advice , i dont want to loose my motor , but anyway i dont need crystl sync for the moment .the motor is realy old , maybe i should keep it and consider it as a 24i/s and buy a variable speed (with crystl syn if that exists )

  7. Sounds like a nice package. Looks like you're stuck with being patient then. If you have a 25 FPS motor at least you can still shoot with it. Matteboxes you should be able to find on Ebay fairly easily, a blimp, I think you're screwed, THAT'S gonna be REAL hard to find. I have NO IDEA what a manivel is. I actually have never heard that term, could you enlighten me? B)

yeah is a nice kit , also i can use the nikons on my bolex with the adaptor :) , the blimp is not urgent for now ,

we were making the test today , tomorow will see the negatif under the microscope .

the motor is runing at 24,09 ( should be 25 i/s ) all magz are nice .

    manivel ; i mean hand cranck ( ?)

  8. Be patient and keep looking my friend, someone, somewhere has got one they want to get rid of OR you could sell the Cameflex and buy a Konvas 2m. These are killer little cameras, tough as Hell and you can pick one up for anywhere from 1500 to 2500 bucks for a complete package with lenses, motor, everything and the 2m s are all over Ebay constantly. They're easy to maintain, parts are availible, and they are VERY reliable. It's something to consider. B)

at first i wanted to buy a Konvas 2m than i said to myself ; a Konvas is a nice camera , but it s a "remake" of the Camflex without a variable shutter angle , beside the Camflex is 16 and 35 .i got a great kit from a friend ; fully revised CM1 , Nikon mount and old Arri mount +6 magz + 1 motor 25i/s + 1 single shot motor + some Nikon lenses

now i have all of this , i am trying to find a manivel and a variable motor , mattebox and maybe a blimp  .

  9. Hey, I just had an insane, wild, CRAZY idea, but it just might be crazy enough to work!! Rather than spending tons of money and a lot of time trying to modify the Konvas motor to work with a camera it wasn't designed for, what it....and JUST hear me out on this...WHAT IF you were to SELL the Konvas motor and then use THAT money to BUY a Cameflex motor that will fit right onto your camera WITHOUT going though all the trouble of having to force fit a Konvas onto it. I know what you're going to say, "HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND, Have you completely gone off the deep END!!!" but I really think this could work!

i totaly agree . i like your "CRAZY" idea :) , but the probleme is that i couldn t find ant CM3 motor !

  10. day-for-night: other options would include underexposing by 2 stops (no filtration req) or exposing for the key and turning the key off when you shoot.

underexposing 2 stops with ni filters .. hmm , it seems more easy than Pola and ND , but i may prefer the Pola&ND since it s for a video clip and i cant take any risk .

    i ll use the fuji 250 .

David , you said pola , ND and etc .. what will be the etc ?

    thanks anyway .

  11. hello ,

thsmk you for the advice , i know about the Pola - nevr did it before but i ve checked the chapter A.C.M .

the shot will be very complicated ; the actress will be walking along a river .i ll put a Zeiss 10-100 on CM1 and taker her up form a bridge aside .

  12. Hello ,

i am new on this forum .

i ll be shooting a music Clip in two weeks in Italy . i bought recently a Camflex CM1 ( not CM3) , 16 and 35 . tests were ok , the cam works smoth , magz are OK .

i have a Zeiss 10/100 f 2 that will cover the 16 mm , and some Nikon ( it s mounted Nikons too ) that will cover the 35 mm .

i will shoot in 16 and 35 , also i ll use a Bolex for some effects .

    - any idea about the video assist ? i need to fix one , but i can t afford something complicated , i tried with a spy cam , the result is bad , maybe someone tried this before ?

    - if i use the Zeiss ( that cover the 16 ) on 35 films , i will get what i see ? ( the circular crop )

    thanks

    E
