  1. There really are many unforgettable images from this film. I love how controlled the pallet is, just a few colors are seen very often throughout. Also some very elaborate camera moves throughout long takes, reminds me of an Ophuls or Woody Allen movie. I wait eagerly for Anderson's next film.
  2. This film was briefly discussed on a previous post, but I was wondering if anyone knows (or could speculate) about how the film was lit. It has a very natural and soft look to it but the contrast is very high. I was also wondering about the lens flares, how such strong ones were achieved. Thanks in advance for the info!
  3. Unfortunately I'm on too tight of a budget for molebeams. Do you think 1000w fresnels with snoots would work?
  4. Thanks a lot for your help! I'm one of the many, many young cinematographers who has gained much from your replies on this forum.
  5. What is the best way to maximize shafts of light? I know it helps to have something in the atmosphere (smoke, fog, etc) and I'm assuming it helps to have very concentrated beams. The scene will be shot on 7218 or 7219. The shafts of light are suppose to represent bars as in a jail cell. I appreciate the advice!
