On Saw we had a whopping 18 days of shooting with no pickups. On top of that the producers pulled the plug at 12 hours except for one day I think. I'm amazed that David Armstrong was able to get a stylized look in those constraints. I'm looking forward to what saw 2 will look like with (hopefully) a larger budget.
