Looking at buying a Steadicam rig and trying to decide between an Aviator or a Steadicam Flyer. I tested a flyer and a pilot both were good but the pilot didn't quite meet my demands. Any comments on comparing the two systems? Thanks in advance,

Hello, I'm shooting a backlit hallway scene with 2 actors walking towards the camera end of about a 60 foot hallway. The hallway is about 8 feet wide with 1 skylight in the center, (will block). Looking for silhouettes on the actors but enough light to recognize them as they approach the camera. I did some test clips with poor results. any help is appreciated, Thank you.

I am trying to find out what mattebox to use with the standardized JVC 250 camera... Anyone has been looking for this info yet? I would appreciate any info, thanks :)

I use the Schneider Century Optics mattebox on a 110U, it works well and supports all types of glass 4x4 filters.

Move with the subject and do not move fast unless that is the effect you want to create, like a sweep. Then its motivated and works for you. The motion blur is a native cousin of the film world and some people rather have it than not. Work with it but remember to follow your subject and don't make haste.

You can also turn on the smoothing function in the menu, but I think if you do you restrict or create repeat flags, I'm not 100% sure which.

Thanks for the input, I can't decide if the motion smoothing filter helps or makes it worse.
