thanks for the response. Ya i was planning on making a short once i get my HD camera. my current is a POS hand cam with a blue dot on the recording.. its weird. Any way i would need more practice directing and filming shorts so plan on seeing it in the critique forum in a couple months :).

I have been writing a script for a movie for the past year now. I am a student still but i was wandering how i could get funding for the movie? I was thinking i could just make an independent and then bring it up to Hollywood to get it redone a professionalized. kinda how Because Of Win Dixie got made

Ya dont really want to get all new ones. I use the Sony get them from costco :) Now i just got one more question for steadicams. Should i end up buying one for weddings? a profesional one? I made one but its not the good quality. Also would it be smart to get a new lens?

Ya i will look into getting a tripod then too. for the wedding part and part reception. The monopod would be great for the reception though. Also on the camera the XH-A1 does it just use regular mini DV cassests or do you need to get the HD ones?

as tripods go i was just going to get a monopod since there low budget and you can use it basically at the ceremony and reception. thanks for the reply. and it looks like i might end up getting that one :)

Not really sure what CMOS and rolling shutter are but what would be a good HD rolling shutter camera be? Me price range is 4 grand and less.

I was wandering what kind of low budget HD Camera would be great for shooting weddings. Has the have XLR ports for wireless and just a good quality video image. The lighting i can tell was perfect. Now for the video. This is a simple mistake but that was exporting it in a bad quality and vimeo takes decently high quality video. For the part when the guy takes the pills and you see his eyes dilate you should have keep that shot longer or slowed down the eyes getting dilated. Also when the guy is getting his mug shot you could have added a flash of light when he was side ways. And also when he is facing toward the camera add another flash and have it fade out to the black and white picture. But besides that very good short film. I just added a little pieces that could help it.

hands down Mac. you can use iMovie or Final Cut. If you would like i have a PowerMac g4 with Final Cut Studio 2. Good for videos but kinda pricy because of the studio. Around 2 grand from me. the software is 1300

Also editing on the go your not that concentrated and when your home you have other devices to help you if needed. And again screen size and multiple screens

I am in the wedding business for a video camera and i have a GL2 and i want to upgrade to a camera that can show a good picture still under low light. I need the low light part for the ceremony as it is not smart to put the light on them one their moment.

I sued the 50W bulb and it was to brite up close. But you could point it up at the celiing and it worked PERFECTLLY!!!! I recommend this light for starters. It lite up about the whole dance floor but it was a small dance floor.

ya the wedding is in the day and i most likey will not use it there. I am using a GL2. And you cant kick the gain on it. Enless there is a way? The light is as good as i have right now but i plan on getting a litepanel in the future. Any suggestions on filters? What would be a good on camera light to shot weddings in?

I plan on buying the macpro when the next generation comes out and buying the max processor for it so i dont have to update it and I can basiclly have the top line computer and just add RAM and Hard Drives. I will most likey max out the max so i can edit more quickly and its just easier overall. Thanks again for everyone that responded.

I am starting to get into videotaping weddings for a job. I bought this light http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1882...00_Watt_12.html But it came with a package so i have an extra battery and extra bulbs. I was wandering on what Wattage i should use for a wedding. i have a 20W, 50W, 100W (120V (pluged into wall)) Do you suggest any filters? and i will be shooting them dancing and if needed light for the ceremony.

Also Is it smart to buy the good graphics cards with apple since they are decently cheap or should i install my own? Walter Graff or anyone could you help me find a template for video/editing theme? I have been looking all over and most are 100-200$. I saw Walter you have quite a few websites.

my level of editting is not high right now. But i do use Final CutPro 4.5 I was going to buy the studio 2 but my Power G4 does not meet the requirements. The material i edit is wide range from any contests but my job i video taping weddings and editing them. Also this Avid what kind of editing does that do? Is it just the same as Final Cut?

I was told that i should buy a basic mac pro and not add any upgrades with them that due with memory hard drives and cd/dvd drives. He told me that i could just install them myself. Is that a smart way to go?

Ya i am trying to advance my skills as a videographer but my teacher can't teach me anything else. Want to learn about lighting and setting up shots for amazing editing techniques. Do you know of any summer editing classes in the West United stats? i live in Arizona

thanks well i can do hands on at my school which has it. I am still in Highschool so i still have a ton to learn and enjoy :) Do you know how i could make the video B&W and have this one color come out only? like a person in a crowd thats only color and the rest is B&W

I have Final cut 4.5 right now and i am saving up for the Final Cut Studio 2. I would like to learn all about the studio so when i get it i dont waste to much time learning it. Does anyone know any good tutorials for it? (motion, soundtrack, color, etc..) Also is there other programs out there in that kind of price range better?
