Does anyone have any good stretches or methods to aleve back pain/knots/discomfort that comes hand in hand with long days of handheld operating?

So, there's a great one page article in September's Film and Digital Times about the ARRI Master Anamorphics. This is in the article:
"When you have an odd number of blades, the light rays are doubled. So a 15-bladed iris gives us 30 light rays. A 14-bladed iris will only give us 14 light rays."
I don't understand the what "light rays" are quantified as. And I don't understand the principal of odd versus even number of iris blades. I'm curious, can anyone elaborate on this?

I'm doing second unit for a feature which would require me to hike the Adirondacks for several weeks, shooting vistas, sunsets/rises, and the like. Since I'll be hiking with gear, I'd like to cut down on weight like batteries which brings up several concerns..
1. A portion of the second unit venture will be with an Alexa, the other with a DSLR. I'll be powering the Alexa with V-mount or Gold on boards, so would it make since to just do the same with DSLR?
2. I'd like to charge the batteries while I hike, anyone have leads on charging with solar panels?
Let me know! Any info would help.
Thanks,
Dylan

Hey all,
We're doing a movie this fall on Gs and S35 film. Some rigs are going to require a smaller digital camera, probably a Rialto, and smaller lenses as well. Can anyone think of a nice match to the softness of Gs? Anamorphic or spherical? Possibly PV Super Speeds?
