The pixel readout quality of 1080p Iphone is incredible in my opinion, and projects excellent. The problem is you have more artifacting/occasional jutter problems than a traditional digital camera. I don't know how to explain it, but I can link you some videos I shot on it so you can see for yourself :)

I use an Iphone 6s Plus to shoot almost every wedding and event I do. It's a stabilized camera, and produces gorgeous results.

 

However, when working on a feature film, you have to decide what kind of set you want to be on. Do you want a really pro set with dolly track?

 

Or are you shooting guerrilla style in places you shouldn't?

 

In my opinion, the best camera is the one that gets the shot.

 

So it comes down to not the quality, but which camera will get your shot.

 

Iphone's create a world of filming possibilities for me, and I think they can do the same for you.

I could think of a few;; not being too noticed, going for a found footage look, using snapchat filters for fun lol, i think it all comes down to creativity with it in the end. It's a truism but the best camera is the one you have with you when you need it. Though all that said, yes, lack of budget is generally the motivating factor in such choices. Tangerine, I think, however was for reasons beyond just budget. Another example is The Bay which used some cell phones.

just imagine this image as wall on road side under street light...then street lights get flicker ..wts source of light ican put and fliker ..to give exact street light effect ..when lights gets flickering i can seee darkness in whole frame .......and lightening .....with in fraction of seconds .....

Generally in indian trains ...use 2 feet tube lights (5600) ...those are not sufficient to expose ..i wanna expose brightly .......

i am attaching some pics for reference ......

my plan is to attach same 2 feet keno tubes in each compartments ....i thought it create just ambiance ..... people who are going to sit in train ... the upper berths will block the light ....so give me idea to push lights for faces to expose brightly ..at the same time it should be natural ......

I'm not sure what you're asking by "is it ok"...

 

You need 64 GB SxS cards and the camera has to have a high speed licence from Arri. You can record up to Pro Res 422 HQ (so no 4444 or RAW) and only 16:9

 

The 16:9 sensor recording area stays the same in high speed mode so field of view doesn't change with the same lens. I think Arri admit there is some sort of subtle change in image quality as processing time gets shorter, not sure of the particulars (it's not something I can see). I haven't heard people complaining about it.
