  1. I have the same Century Optics 16:9 as Moises (thanks to his advise), but would like to use it on 1014xl or beaulieu 4000zm4. Also a friend said I could borrow his Leica Special. How would it work on any of these cams?

  2. I just got the cosmicar 4.8, but the threads are way too long to fit on my beaulieu 4008zm4 without hitting the inside. do you know which cosmicars will work on this camera?@robertellsworth/twitter

Hi,apparently there is no physical problem of fitting the lens, but when working with very closed f-stop do not noticeable but when I work with it fully open apparently is out of focus, and the solution according to experiments that did is unscrew 1/4 turn of the screw to get focused fine.

Then I think I have to add a washer on the threads of a certain thickness to that screw least 1/4 back.

Does anyone know anything of this situation or have a similar solution?

    Regards

    Jorge

  3. schmalfilm magazine took the opportunity to shoot a last roll of Kodachrome - a very special one: a cartridge with 60 meters of Live Sound film, produced more than 25 years ago. It was processed at the end of December 2010, in the last days of the Kodachrome era at Dwayne's, Kansas, USA. We asked 10 German filmmakers why they are using Super 8. Have a look at those brilliant colors - even if it is winter and the film is 25 years old! We did not change anything at all. This commercial is the first one in a series to promote Super 8 and schmalfilm magazine. We will use it as a viral campaign and on festival screenings.
