  1. filter 812

812 gives good flesh tone ...i want to use fuji 160T (85 filter) with 812..the stock itself gives warm tone.. here i want to know how much warm it will come..can we reduce warmness in color analyzer or not (i don't have DI option)..can any body post one reference photograph or any visual for better understanding..........

  2. I am going to do a short film in an next 20 days according to my story i need desaturated kind of look but not fully ,at the same time i need a glossy feel and nice proper flesh tones..

watch this first video(starting to 2 min 10sec),they shot in sunny day(they used kodak stock) but it seems like a overcast day,Is there any way to get that type of diffused feel even though it is sunny day.i know they done in post

But i need this diffused ,glossy look and proper flesh tones, any filters will give, any under exposing ...i am using fuji 8543,8546,Arri 3,kowa lenses(quiet old),shooting on 35mm not S35,No DI....

watch videos which i have given below.. 2nd video observe flesh tones and first video diffused feel in outdoor even though it is sunny

  3. The depth of field is dictated by the image size of your shooting format, in this case 16mm.

DV has less compression than HDV, but the latter has more data, however you may notice compression artefacts in things like leaves moving or grass.

Uncompressed HD requires a lot of storage and you need to do an off line in order edit. You do need to plan out your workflow. A HD SDI has a data rate of 1.485 Gbit/s, for 4:2:2, so that's the sort of figure you should be thinking in terms of.

This may sound a strange question, but is your telecine actually HD?

no my telecine machine can give dvcam or hdv on tape

  4. thanks to all for giving replies...

here my doubt is when doing telecine s16mm to video.... which format can hold better depth of field, details in shadows and highlights...here these people are saying dvcam is better than HDV quality... i asked them why ...they are saying dv cam(45KBps,720X576) has better better rate than HDV..my question is how..

here telecine machine doesn't have possibility to take out put in Hard disk...

i need uncompressed HD format,i want to know data rate, sampling rate and some other technical drawbacks of HD.....

  6. In the next month iam going to shoot music video on S16mm,after developing i am going in to

telecine, which format can i get good quality in terms of details in shadows and highlights..which format is correct...

What is diff between DV CAM and HDV FORMAT in terms of bit rate, sampling rate ....which format holds better details....

  7. Generally every body saying film is sensitive to green, video(digital) is sensitive to Blue,As far as i know film is sensitive to blue, digital is sensitive to green,

i will tell u reason why i believe film is sensitive to blue,Film contains four layers

    Layer one blue

    Layer two yellow

    Layer three green

    Layer four Red....

this is reason i am believing film is sensitive to blue.........

i asked with so many DOP's, they told blue is sensitive to film, some other says green is sensitive.. make it clear which one is sensitive...which is perfect to do matting.. Thanks in advance..................

  8. HI

i am a student,i have some doubts in film and digital cameras.

In film shutter speed or frame speed is same right but shutter angle is different,i am clear about this thing

In digital cameras shutter speed and frame speed is different,if u increase shutter speed motion blur comes, frame speed u can increase or decrease along with shutter angle to compensate exposure...
