This is my first ever short film, I am a student at sixth form in cambridgeshire studying 'film studies, media studies, DT and ICT', this is something I have done in my own time. I know there are many errors in the film, but I don't really want people to point them out, I would like people to give honest opinions and tips on how I can improve in the future. I came across a low priced colour grading plugin the other day, and thought I had to share it. Most of you most likely already know about it, however if you don't, I highly recommend Magic Bullet Mojo by Red Giant. I use a plugin called Red Giant Magic Bullet Mojo. Its around $50, and a trial can be used for free with watermarks until you purchase the full license. The plugin includes loads of preset corrections, that can be placed onto the timeline and the footage will instantly look like a Hollywood film. Hey Marcus I am really happy that you like my work, and I do wish to work in film or tv when im older as a camera operator, so I hope to stick to it. I am onl 16 at the moment, and next month I go to my new sixth form college to study film and media. Ive looked into folow focus before, I think they are overly priced, I found a solution for focus pulling which costs about £4, it was this rubber jar opener, which fixes around my focus ring easily, and just makes it easier to pull focus without thumbling for the focus ring. really glad you liked it, i used an 18-135mm lens, and sony vegas movie studio 9 to colour correct, i shot with 24 and 50 fps, i always forget to check what frame im shooting in some times :)
