Yuki is a documentary filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. Raised in an artists’ community in rural Japan, Yuki and her family relocated to NYC in 1986. She began photographing as a teenager and attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In recent years, Yuki has worked with the Environmental Defense Fund to document coastal restoration projects in Louisiana, and as an associate producer on Al Gore's Climate Reality Project. In 2011, she ventured into the Mexican jungle for an expedition-style production to document jaguar conservation. More recently, she worked as Director of Photography on "Street Girls," a documentary based in Nigeria. Yuki is currently working on "Kasamayaki" her first feature-length film.
