I´ve been wondering, according to me frame quality is when there is little noise in your picture.
Like when I use a consumer 1ccd camera, it pixels alot where its dark. Obviously this is normal but why is this so? why cant cheap cameras let black areas or unsufficiently lit areas just be dark, why does it pixelate them.
I think this is a common video problem, i have used the xl1 and the hdv-z1 and the tend to pixel also.
But when i used the GY-DV500 this was not an issue, the dark was just dark, or lack of image representation
not some pixels inhabiting the frame.
I´m asking this as i plan to shoot a documentary, and for some of the interviews i would like to get a very "contrasty" frame. and where its dark i dont want pixels.
which camera do you suggest i use. as the budget is restricted, i problably cant get hold of the GY-DV500.
whenever I have discussed this with someone, they say its about the lighting, but seriously, do you have to lit something you want to be dark. it´s sounds absurd. I personally like a frame thats shows alot of contrast, and fill lights and such shouldn´t be neccesary for the desired effect.
