Cantar is extremaly expensive and as you see no one is doing this way today and result uncertain.

What to do with the audio files from Cantar?

I'm using Aaton XTR. Can borrow OriginC. My lab does not have Keylink. Goal is to point and shoot, audio recorder can record all the time or be triggered with camera.

I see two solutions:

1) making trigger for popular recorders (hack their remote controlers) or make audio app for smartphone

2) use Time Code that is exposed in film (Aaton XTR) but how to read TC from audio file from TC enabled recorders?

any ideas?

Use wifi action cam with proper chip lens - cheap and easy. I'll be testing on my XTR.

But yes moded Krasnogorsk is a killer. Scoopic is not good because crystal sync if brake needs new solution - found person who made new design with modern parts. Otherwise so nice camera.

An Aaton XTR owner - great camera but I love Beaulieu MCR8 (so small and bright with Pan-Cinor). Problem is with expensive processing and telecine. Here in Poland dev+clean+telecine (Shadow HD) 130 EUR not bad. In Ukraine Arri scanner 1$ per meter (HD). So I'm planning build rack processor because tired with Lomo tank. Today received Vision2 50D push2 - such a lovely film.

Any idea how to trigger Tascam DR100mkII recorder with Aaton XTR camera?

My Scoopic 16MS started to run only at max speed regardless of dial setting. Anyone has idea why?

I think price is 350 GBP fair. I like Scoopic very very much. I also have Aaton XTR (70fps) so can compare.
